Rehab Centre of Excellence
The BAC O’Connor Centre was founded in 1998 by Noreen Oliver MBE, following her own experience of being severely dependent upon alcohol. “you spend years and years in a revolving door, lost in a system and culture that supports your own emotions of guilt, shame, anger and resentment . It was by luck, destiny, whatever it may have been , shown a way out and that is what our centres offer today – an exit route out of addiction to a journey that leads to freedom from addiction, a chance of recovery , a life for all who want it instead of a daily existence. A programme that does not just treat the symptoms but deals with the past, present and future.” BAC O’Connor is a centre of excellence with some of the highest outcomes in the Country, all of our therapists are qualified or qualifying to degree and masters level and a number are in recovery themselves, however being in recovery itself is not a qualification and we believe that therapists should be qualified to a minimum of degree level with regular supervision. We are not the glitz, we are not the glamour but we produce some of the highest outcomes in the country because our evidence-based programme works. So if you are serious about real recovery and improving your quality of life choose the right road to recovery, choose The BAC O’Connor Centre.Treatments Provided

Jasmine Mother’s Recovery (formerly known as Trevi House) and one of three centres provided by charity Trevi, is a unique residential rehabilitation unit located in Plymouth. Since 1993, Trevi has been offering treatment to women with alcohol and/or drug related problems. Place Description: Trauma responsive residential service for women
Ophelia House is a Therapeutic Community offering CQC-registered drug and alcohol residential care to women. The service has been developed to meet the needs of women who require abstinence-based residential substance use treatment in a safe and therapeutic environment. Residents stay in a newly redeveloped and refurbished property in the leafy suburbs of Oxford.
The programme, delivered by an all-female staff team, is based on the Therapeutic Community model. Social relationships, daily structures and various activities are deliberately designed to support women’s health and well-being.
Community Members spend their first few weeks in what we call ‘the welcome house’ stage while they settle into their new surroundings. They will then move through the phases for the rest of the programme, which lasts between 3 and 6 months. Community Members are responsible for the day-to-day running of the house and support each other throughout the programme, with more senior Community Members becoming ‘buddies’ for newcomers.
After completing treatment at the residential, people are supported through our structured aftercare support programme.
Our bespoke structured group programme may include a focus on personal and behavioural development interventions, relapse prevention, harm reduction, peer-led groups and meetings, social and community activities, mutual aid and employability.
We provide a 3 to 6-month programme personalised to each resident’s needs. To experience the entire benefits of the programme, six months is recommended.
