Expert Treatment for Drug and Alcohol Addiction
Over 10,000 patients have passed through our rehab centre’s doors since 1988, and the majority have gone on to achieve long-term abstinent recovery from their addictions. Our medical team of doctors, nurses and therapists are led by our Consultant Psychiatrists and Medical Director. We help our patients recover through an intensive, personalised addiction programme that combines medical treatment and a range of addiction therapies that include the 12 Step programme, CBT and other psychotherapies, complementary therapies, oxygen therapy, and continuing care. We are fortunate to be located on a private 50-acre woodland estate in the stunning Scottish countryside. We make full use of our grounds and facilities to enhance your recovery. The outstanding beauty of the Castle Craig grounds and woodland helps patients connect with nature, practise mindfulness and encourage fitness. Our Treatment Programmes
Addiction is a serious illness that affects the patient and the family. We strive to help patients recover through our intensive, personalised treatment programme that facilitates the 12 steps, provides clinically excellent medical treatment, and utilises CBT and other psychotherapies. Our alcohol and drug treatment programmes have been carefully constructed through decades of professional and practical experience and apply to patients from all walks of life. The Foundation programme typically lasts 4-6 weeks. Patients can then join our Advanced Programme should they require longer-term treatment. From admissions to detox, to treatment, to relapse prevention, we are constantly looking for opportunities for patients not just to overcome their addiction but to grow as a person. Our individualised addiction treatment programme has helped over 10,000 people on the road to recovery with the majority achieving sobriety and living free from addiction. At Castle Craig, we believe that addiction is a primary, chronic brain disease. As a result, patients must undergo an abstinence-based programme to achieve long-lasting recovery. Instead of a “one size fits all” approach, our expert staff of addiction specialists works directly with patients to effectively craft a personalised treatment programme to treat alcohol and substance misuse issues. This allows patients to address their addiction in a supportive environment that they have helped create. Some patients may require detox before joining the programme.Non-abstinence-based Residential Rehabilitation with CBT and Social Learning at its Core
